Presented a paper on LIS education (funded by ALP-SIDA) at 75th IFLA World Library & Information Congress 2009 at Milan, Italy.

Over 3500 LIS professionals from more than 170 countries attended the conference.

Area: Library, information and documentation, presently working as Assistant Librarian in Bengal Engineering and Science University. Previously worked as Librarian in Maharaja Manindra Chandra College, as Assistant Librarian in Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management (IISWBM), Librarian-Cum-Information Officer in UV International Impex.

Diploma in Digital Library Management, (Jadavpur University), online course on e-Learning Policies from Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), Tokyo.

Specialized trainings in the areas of Digitization, DSpace (Digital Library Software), Greenstone Digital Library Software, SOUL & LibSys (Library Automation Software), LINUX, Website Design & Creation.Volunteer for a number of grassroot voluntary societies in the field of mental health, poverty, human rights, community informatics, such as: MANAS: a Society for mentally disturbed persons their family and friends’, ARDSI Calcutta Chapter, Mon Foundation, etc.
